So how many of you didn't believe it Saturday night when you heard that Southern California had lost to Stanford.Yeah, me neither. I mean Stanford? No offense to fans of the Cardinal .. ah, never mind. I think you all know what I mean and I'll take this opportunity to try and not stick my foot in my mouth. But here's a photo in honor of the upset:
After two straight losses, Stanford finally won a Rose Bowl in 1936 for coach C.E. Thornhill by shutting out Southern Methodist, 7-0.
